It has no pay to win like Origins as well. If you want to try Revo, I recommend Titan even though it has a low pop. Its a dedicated server and safe to play on. So in summary, if you really just want to focus on your nostalgia, stick to Origins, their updates are slow as fuck and you will get to live out that nostalgia for basically ever as they still don't have trans updates after 4 + years. Revo has the most potential if people weren't so scared of the word "renewal". The downsides of Revo are pretty much that its new and not completely balanced yet, but that will be adjusted in time on both pservers and official servers.īut I've played all 3 core types of Ragnarok now for a good amount of time on each. Gear progression is better, there is a bit more diversity in builds, and some old shitty builds (like holy cross) got a lot stronger. Despite what nostalgic players will say, it is literally just classic with a different set of gear/builds that are relevant/strong.
The leveling/drop system in renewal is also garbage. The problem with renewal has always been absurd gear progression and no content to match how insanely overpowered you are end game. Renewal has problems itself no doubt, but the mechanics aren't one of them. They dismiss it because it uses "renewal" mechanics and associate with renewal, which they don't like because of the issues brought forth with the new content. Never understand why people shy so hard away from Revo-Classic. In contrast Origins had 680 players today and Talon had 1070 players today. I did try logging into iro Loki, and the population was like 280, prontera was a ghost town. What I've decided: I think I'm probably just going to end up playing either origins or Talon maybe both, Origins I'll have to read their database from the very beginning and figure out all the differences and Talon will just be whenever I feel like it being a level 99 again I login. I really want to get into RO again, and I MIGHT have some friends to drag into it now, but I can't decide on a server. And it seems like every other p.server is renewal, revo-classic (renewal based), has dungeon warpers and other game breaking features.and then.I could just go back to the official classic server.sigh.
So I started playing Origins RO and everyone's very nice there.but the maps, meaning where the monsters are, is totally different from iro (i should have read the fine print), that is not something I can get used to, I liked the way maps were on iro. a little while ago I played Talon a lot, but I kind of got tired by how "canned" the experience is, with dungeon warpers and other game breaking features.
